Playtime

HI! My name is OLIVIA

I coordinate Playtime here at Gymea Anglican. I'm also a mum of two preschool-aged girls and one primary school-aged boy, so I know the joy (and chaos!) of life with little ones. The thing I love most about Playtime is the relationships — seeing friendships form between kids and carers alike. I've been working as the Children's Minister at Gymea for over a decade, and it's such a privilege to support families in these early years. Some of my favourite moments are when Playtime wraps up and a bunch of us wander up into Gymea for lunch or coffee — and the chats, laughs, and friendships just keep going. We'd love you to come along and be part of it!

Playtime is for parents, grandparents and carers to bring their babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children. Join us for fun, free-play, craft, games, music and stories. Playtime is on each Friday of the school term and is $5 per family which includes activities and morning tea.

Acknowledgement Of Country

Gymea Anglican Church acknowledges the triune God, the Creator of heaven and earth and His ownership of all things (Psalm 24:1). We recognise that He gave stewardship of these lands upon which we meet to the First Nations Peoples of this country (Acts 11:26). In His sovereignty, He has allowed other people groups to migrate to these shores. We acknowledge the cultures of our First Nations Peoples and are thankful for the community that we share together now. We pay our respects to Dharawal speaking people who are the traditional custodians of the area now called Gymea, and their elders leaders, both past and present, and those who are rising up to become leaders. We pay our respect to all First Nations People and pray for God’s blessing on all Australians as we seek reconciliation and justice.
