Welcome
We’re so excited to celebrate Christmas with you.
On that first Christmas, an angel announced that the birth of Jesus was good news of great joy for all people. And we believe that, 2000 years later, Christmas is still good news!
The carols that we sing each year do a magnificent job of underscoring who Jesus is and why He came. For example, in Hark the Herald Angels Sing, we learn that only through “the newborn King” can “God and sinners [be] reconciled”. We learn that Jesus is the one who will make “heaven and nature sing”. We learn that Jesus is the King that will come to “rule the world with truth and grace”. He is the one we're waiting for, and that's why we sing “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”.

Go Tell It On The Mountain
Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills, and ev'rywhere;
go, tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.

While shepherds kept their watching o’er silent flocks by night,
behold, throughout the heavens there shone a holy light. [Refrain]

The shepherds feared and trembled
when lo, above the earth
rang out the angel chorus
that hailed our Savior’s birth.
[Refrain]
Down in a lowly manger
the humble Christ was born,
and God sent us salvation
that blessed Christmas morn.
[Refrain]

Christmas Day
(The North Wind)
The North Wind is tossing the leaves
The red dust is over the town
The sparrows are under the eaves
And the grass in the paddock is brown
As we lift up our voices and sing
To the Christ-child, the heavenly king
The tree-ferns in Green Gully sway
The cool stream flows silently by
The joy-bells are greeting the day
And the chimes are adrift in the sky
As we lift up our voices and sing
To the Christ-child, the heavenly king

The North Wind is tossing thе leaves
The rеd dust is over the town
The sparrows are under the eaves
And the grass in the paddock is brown
As we lift up our voices and sing
To the Christ-child, the heavenly king To the Christ-child, the heavenly king

Carol Of The Birds

Out on the plains, the brolgas are dancing
Lifting their feet like horses prancing
Up to the sun, the woodlarks go winging
Faint in the dawn light echoes their singing

Orana! Orana! Orana to Christmas Day!

Down where the tree ferns grow by the river
There where the waters sparkle and quiver
Deep in the gullies, bellbirds are chiming
Softly and sweetly their lyric notes rhyming

Orana! Orana! Orana to Christmas Day!
Friarbirds sip the nectar of flowers
Currawongs chant in wattle-tree bowers
In the blue ranges lorikeets calling
Carols of bush birds are rising and falling

Down wherе the tree ferns grow by the rivеr
There where the waters sparkle and quiver
Deep in the gullies, bellbirds are chiming
Softly and sweetly their lyric notes rhyming

Away In A Manger

Away in a manger, No crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus Laid down His sweet head
The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus Asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing The Baby awakes
But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes
I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky
And stay by my side until morning is nigh

Be near me, Lord Jesus I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever and love me, I pray
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care
And fit us for Heaven to live with thee there.

O Holy Night
O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
'Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night, O Holy night, O night divine!
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the Wise Men from Orient land
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend
Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is Peace
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us Praise His Holy name
Christ is the Lord; O praise His name forever!
His power and glory evermore proclaim
His power and glory evermore proclaim

Mary's Boy Child

Long time ago in Bethlehem
So the Holy Bible say
Mary’s Boy Child, Jesus Christ
Was born on Christmas Day!

While shepherds watched their flocks by night
They saw a bright new shining star
And heard a choir from heaven sing
The music came from afar

Hark! Now hear the angels sing:
“New King’s born today
And man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas Day!”

Now Joseph and his wife Mary
Came to Bethlehem that night.
They found no place to bear her Child,
Not a single room was in sight.

Hark! Now hear the angels sing:
“New King’s born today
And man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas Day!”

By and by they found a little nook
In a stable all forlorn.
And in a manger cold and dark
Mary’s little Boy/Child was born

Trumpets sound and angels sing,
Listen to what they say!
That man will live forevermore
Because of Christmas Day!
Silver Bells

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks
Dressed in holiday style
In the air there's a feeling
Of Christmas
Children laughing, people passing
Meeting smile after smile
And on every street corner you'll hear
Silver bells
Silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling
Hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas Day
Strings of streetlights, even stoplights
Blink of bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures
Hear the snow crunch
See the kids bunch
This is Santa's big scene
And above all the bustle you'll hear
Silver bells
Silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas Day
Soon it will be Christmas Day

The Silver Stars Are In The Sky
The silver stars are in the sky,
The red-gold moon is riding high,
O sleep my little one sleep.
Once long ago against her breast,
A mother hush’d a babe to rest.
Who was the Prince of Heav'n above
The Lord of gentleness and love.
O sleep my little one sleep.

The boo-book calls across the night.
The brown moths flutter in the light,
O sleep my little one sleep.
In Beth-le-hem long, long a-go

When roads and paddocks gleamed with snow.
On this same night,
That mother mild
lull'd in-to dreams Her Royal Child
So sleep my lit-tle one sleep! My little on sleep!

On A Starlit Night

On a star-lit night
‘Neath a sky so bright
The angels sing carols of love
Of a baby asleep
In a manger bed
Sent from heaven above
Sleep oh tiny precious one Sleep
God’s chosen son

Jingle Bell Rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air

What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh

Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell rock

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away

The Twelve Days of Christmas
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me
A partridge in a pear tree
On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

See a baby

See a baby lying in a manger.
Wrapped in swaddling bands.
See the hope of every generation
In His outstretched hands.
See the Mother gazing down upon Him.
Love and fear combined,
For the presence of this tiny being
Is from God a sign.
See the Shepherds kneeling down in terror,
At the blinding light.
Hear the angels telling them to ‘fear not”
As they fill the night.
See the magi, men of special knowledge,
Kneeling his His stall.
See them lay their precious gifts around Him,
The greatest gift of all.
See a baby lying in a manger,
Wrapped in swaddling bands.
See the hope of every generation.
In His outstretched hands.
See the hope of every generation.
In his outstretched hands.

Christmas Medley

Dashing through the snow, in a one horse open sleigh,
Over fields we go, laughing all the way,
Bells on bob-tails ring, making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight
Oh jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,
Oh what fun it is to ride,
in a one horse open sleigh, hey
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,
Oh what fun it is to ride,
in a one... horse... open... sleigh.....
We wish you a merry Christmas,
we wish you a merry Christmas,
We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year
Good tidings we bring, to you and your kin ...
We wish you a merry Christmas
and a happy New Year ....
We wish you a merry Christmas
and a happy New Year.

Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain moor and mountain
Following yonder star

Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading still proceeding
Guide us to Thy perfect light

Born a King on Bethlehem's plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again
King forever ceasing never
Over us all to reign

Come, thou long expected Jesus,
born to set thy people free;
from our fears and sins release us,
let us find our rest in thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
hope of all the earth thou art;
dear desire of every nation,
joy of every longing heart.

Born thy people to deliver,
born a child and yet a King,
born to reign in us forever,
now thy gracious kingdom bring.
By thine own eternal spirit
rule in all our hearts alone;
by thine all sufficient merit,
raise us to thy glorious throne.

The babe, the son of Mary!

Come, peasant, king, to own Him!
The King of Kings salvation brings;
Let loving hearts enthrone Him!

The babe, the son of Mary!
Nails, spear shall pierce him through,
The Cross be borne for me, for you;

The babe, the son of Mary!

Whom shepherds guard and angels sing;
Haste, haste to bring Him laud,

Once in Royal David's city

Once in royal David's city
Stood a lowly cattle shed
Where a mother laid her baby
In a manger for his bed
Mary was that mother mild
Jesus Christ, her little child

He came down to earth from heaven
Who is God and Lord of all
And his shelter was a stable
And his cradle was a stall
With the poor, oppressed and lowly
Lived on earth our saviour holy

And our eyes at last shall see him
Through his own redeeming love
For that child, so dear and gentle
Is our Lord in heaven above
And he leads his children on
To the place where he is gone

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

God rest ye merry, gentlemen, let nothing you dismay;
remember Christ, our Saviour was born on Christmas Day
to save us all from Satan's pow'r when we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

From God our heav'nly Father a blessed angel came
and unto certain shepherds brought tidings of the same,
how that in Bethlehem was born the son of God by name.
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

"Fear not," then said the angel, "let nothing you affright;
this day is born a Saviour, the true and radiant light,
to free all those who trust in him from Satan's pow'r and might."
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

Now to the Lord sing praises, all you within this place,
And in true love and fellowship each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas is filled with heavenly grace.
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

Joy To The World

Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods
Rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make his blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world
With truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders of His love.
