Support the Gymea Anglican Music Trust – A Worthy Cause

Scripture calls us to "sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs" (Colossians 3:16) - because music isn’t just for the ear; it’s for the heart and soul. Music helps turn theology into doxology. It teaches the next generation to love and enjoy the Lord. It unites us in praise. And it helps the gospel resound both inside and outside the church.

That’s why the Music Trust exists - to promote music in our parish and to support those who lead and serve us musically.

Over the years, the Trust has helped in all sorts of ways:

  • Purchasing fold-back speakers so our band can lead us clearly and confidently.

  • Supporting the development of our livestream, which not only promotes parish music but also helps spread the gospel to those tuning in from home.

  • Sending musicians and leaders to the EMU Music Conference to grow in skill and vision.

  • Welcoming guest artists - like Angela Brun from the Australian Opera, or special vocalists on Mother’s Day - to bless our services.

  • Investing in new instruments, like the new keyboard being used this and every other weekend.

  • And (soon, we hope) contributing to organ repairs so that even our oldest instrument can sing again.

All this is possible because of your generosity.

The details for giving are printed in the bulletin each week, but particularly in this next month, we’d love you to prayerfully consider making a contribution.

Acknowledgement Of Country

Gymea Anglican Church acknowledges the triune God, the Creator of heaven and earth and His ownership of all things (Psalm 24:1). We recognise that He gave stewardship of these lands upon which we meet to the First Nations Peoples of this country (Acts 11:26). In His sovereignty, He has allowed other people groups to migrate to these shores. We acknowledge the cultures of our First Nations Peoples and are thankful for the community that we share together now. We pay our respects to Dharawal speaking people who are the traditional custodians of the area now called Gymea, and their elders leaders, both past and present, and those who are rising up to become leaders. We pay our respect to all First Nations People and pray for God’s blessing on all Australians as we seek reconciliation and justice.
