SCAM ALERT

Important Notice

A week or so ago some people in our church have received an email that appears to be from "Senior Minister David Fell", asking about surprising cancer patients with gift cards.

Please ignore and delete this email.

It has not come from Gymea Anglican Church, and our church email has not been hacked. Instead, someone has created a fake Gmail address pretending to be David and appears to be sending messages to people in our church. Our real church email addresses always end in @gymeaanglican.org.au (like our website). The scam email is coming from a Gmail address, which is not legitimate.

Please do not reply to the email and do not engage with it. Simply delete it.

If you are ever unsure whether something has come from David or the church office, feel free to check with us directly.

Acknowledgement Of Country

Gymea Anglican Church acknowledges the triune God, the Creator of heaven and earth and His ownership of all things (Psalm 24:1). We recognise that He gave stewardship of these lands upon which we meet to the First Nations Peoples of this country (Acts 11:26). In His sovereignty, He has allowed other people groups to migrate to these shores. We acknowledge the cultures of our First Nations Peoples and are thankful for the community that we share together now. We pay our respects to Dharawal speaking people who are the traditional custodians of the area now called Gymea, and their elders leaders, both past and present, and those who are rising up to become leaders. We pay our respect to all First Nations People and pray for God’s blessing on all Australians as we seek reconciliation and justice.
