Each week thousands of Australian men gather in places of worship, singing choruses, chanting creeds, wearing their team colours and cheering on the gods they worship whenever one of their gods scores a try. Aussie men love to worship.
We love sport too, but we love Christ and his church much more. We are playing on his team. We train hard and play hard, with Jesus as our coach, because we know that he has already won the game.
Our men’s groups are like fitness sessions which help train us to be the kind of men that God created us to be. We meet regularly to encourage each other to keep running the race and fighting the good fight of faith, so that in everything we do – at school, uni, work, at home with our families or on the field with our mates – everyone will know that we are men who follow Jesus. Come and see the difference Jesus makes.
