Gymea Anglican is a local church with strong community links in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire. We love Jesus and with his help want to live as he taught his followers to live. We want to grow to become more like Jesus, seeking to serve him and serve others as he did. We’re excited about building God’s family here. We’re a church where everyone is welcome, regardless of their background or upbringing.
We trust what God says in the Bible. We’re keen to help others to get to know Jesus.
We’re passionately committed to caring for our community in a variety of different ways. Our ministries extend across the age groups –caring for toddlers to the elderly and shut-in, single parents and youth, social groups and Bible studies.
People talk about the lack of community and spirituality in Australia today. At Gymea Anglican we are doing something about it! We are focused on building relationships. The most important relationship a person can have is with Jesus. We offer a range of groups and resources for those wishing to investigate the Christian faith in a non-threatening environment. There are no “faith questions” that are “off limits”.
The Bible teaches that Jesus can restore our relationship with God through his death on the cross and rising to new life. When a person trusts in Jesus as Saviour and Lord, that person becomes a dearly loved child of God. Jesus also wants to restore our relationships with one another. And that’s what we’re excited about at Gymea Anglican – being children of God, brothers and sisters, one in Christ, united by God’s Holy Spirit within us.
We are keen to share this great news. Why not come and find out more this week?
